The Australian Geoscience Council takes much pleasure in announcing the launch of the Roy Woodall Medal. The Roy Woodall Medal seeks to recognise scientific excellence in both mineral exploration and the documentation of world-class mineral deposits

The Australian Geoscience Council (AGC) is pursuing our Vision to raise the profile of Geoscience to be pre-eminent in Australia and to be recognised as one of the great fields of general science with Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

To accommodate the orderly development of major geotourism projects and activities in line with overseas trends and domestic regional development imperatives, in late 2018 the Australian Geoscience Council  commenced the process of developing a draft National Geotourism Strategy.
